Yikes! It costs HOW much to get married!?

Wedding glassesOhio ranks 34th in cost of weddings, with the typical wedding coming in at around $22,000.*

Pennsylvania’s even pricier, at 14 on the list with a typical wedding cashing out at almost $30,000.*

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

You can get married for as little as $100. And don’t think you’re getting some generic quickie knock-off. We’ve had so many people tell us their ceremony was the most beautiful ceremony they ever experienced.

And that’s coming (of course) from the happy couple, but also from older family members who’ve been around a wedding or two through their years.

You can start with a beautiful ceremony and add as much bling, glitz and glamor as you want.

Or none at all.

Either way, you’ll be just as married, and we’ll be just as happy to be part of your special day marking the beginning of a wonderful new life for you both.

The Wedding Pie

So here’s something a little different that a lot of couples have started doing for their small wedding or elopement…

Who made the rule that you have to have a wedding cake anyway? Why not a wedding pie?

For one thing, if you’re trying to save money, a pie is a lot more cost effective than a fancy (and expensive!) wedding cake.

And if your wedding is a small affair with just yourselves or maybe a couple of close friends or family, a pie will feed everyone without a lot of wasted food.

Plus, it’ll be unique — even though it’s starting to get more popular, a wedding pie will still set you apart as that special couple who did things their own way. (Not to mention, it’ll be a fun memory when you look back on your special day in years to come.)

Blueberry, pecan, pumpkin, banana creme, peach or good old American apple pie.

So whether you choose to pie or not to pie, just do it your way — and we’re here to help you do exactly that (but you’ll have to get your own pie!).

We’ve been blessed to provide all kinds of happy couples with respectful, caring ceremonies:

  • Look for us in Mercer County Pennsylvania and nearby counties in northwest Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio.

Why elope?

In contrast to a big extravaganza style wedding, there are clear benefits to eloping, such as:

  • Stress — basically, there isn’t any!
  • Family drama — ditto!
  • Time and energy — you get to keep more of both!
  • Money — We can come to you for as little as $100.00 (with added mileage charge if your ceremony is outside of the Greenville/Fredonia area). The average cost of a wedding officiant is $225.00 – $500.00, so how do we do it? We keep costs down by keeping it simple — no rehearsals, no counseling, no pre-nup interviews.
  • If you prefer we can provide a small ceremony in our home for $75.00 (save $25.00!). But please note — we have a very small place, and can’t fit more than about four people besides ourselves.
  • No church hoops to jump through.
  • Relaxed & nonjudgmental, everybody’s welcome!
  • You can write your own vows or we can provide your vows for you.
  • Call us or email us if you have questions, like how much the mileage charge would be to do the wedding away from our place or anything else pertaining to the ceremony.
  • We’ve been blessed to provide all kinds of happy couples with respectful, caring ceremonies.
  • Think about it! You can always have the big extravaganza later (if you really want it), but why wait to get legal?
